Deltares
The formation of Deltares in 2008 grouped all the knowledge in the Netherlands relating to delta issues in a single research institute. The aim of merging the different disciplines was to allow the Netherlands to develop better solutions for new challenges such as sea-level rise, extreme precipitation and falling land levels.

Quadrum Business Centre
When completed, in the next few years, Norwegian property development company Schage Real Estate’s innovative Quadrum Business City will provide more 40,000 square metre of office and retail space in the rapidly growing Snipiskes business district of the Lithuanian capital Vilnius. It will also include a 30,000 square-metre three-story underground parking garage, and the input of more than 50 different contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.

Tin House
Located in London, one of the most densely populated cities in the world, the Tin House has been designed by Henning Stummel Architects to create a secluded and tranquil living environment. Occupying a previously empty site, the building comprises six metal-clad ‘pods’ which each accommodate one function. Services, such as toilets and stairs, are housed in the corridors that link the pods.
